Questions For Running Socks Customization You May Want to Know
Do ultralight socks blister more easily?
Not inherently. Blisters correlate more with moisture + friction + poor fit than with thickness. Use moisture-wicking fibers (technical polyester/nylon or merino), a snug fit, and a seamless/flat toe to minimize rubbing; avoid high-cotton mixes that hold sweat.
What are the sample timelines and revisions?
With complete tech pack/yarn choices, a common cadence is 3–7 days for first prototype, and 3–5 days per revision (lead time depends on yarn dyeing and machine availability). Confirm your revision cap and lock materials early to protect bulk ETD/ETA.
Can we add reflective yarn/tape, and can the sock claim “hi-vis” compliance?
Yes—retroreflective yarns or heat-transfer trims can be added at the ankle/cuff for low-light visibility. Note that EN ISO 20471 sets minimum reflective area and placement for garments; socks typically don’t meet those areas.

How should we build a size curve for bulk orders?
We can grade to your chart or use standard S/M/L/XL runs mapped to common shoe sizes (e.g., Men’s US 5–7 = Small; 7.5–9 = Medium; 9.5–12 = Large; 12.5–14 = XL). Lock your size ratio (e.g., 1:2:2:1) at PO stage to protect lead time.
What testing & inspection do you support?
Typical buyer specs include: Moisture management / wicking: AATCC TM195 (liquid moisture management); Abrasion/durability: ISO 12947 Martindale; Colorfastness to crocking: AATCC 8; Dimensional stability (shrinkage): AATCC 135.
